Texas High School UIL Academic Program Brings Home Twelve Awards during recent Academic Meet

Texas High School University Interscholastic League Academic Team members brought home ten individual awards and two team awards from the Academic Meet held on Saturday, February 25 in Sulphur Springs, TX.

 

Placement, subject and coaching information is as follows:

 

INDIVIDUAL AWARDS:

Number Sense:  Abbott Lawrence – 2nd Place (10th Grade); Nabil Kalam – 3rd Place (10th Grade).  Coached by Nicole Ayers.

 

Ready Writing:  Anna Cannon – 2nd Place; Molly Kyles – 3rd Place.  Coached by Holly Mooneyham.

 

Science:  Ian Suelzer – 2nd Place (9th Grade); Guillermo Pass – 2nd Place (10th Grade/5th Place Overall); Nabil Kalam – 3rd Place (10th Grade/6th Place Overall); Cameron Coats – 3rd Place (12th Grade).  Coached by Bob Harris.

 

 

TEAM AWARDS:

Number Sense:  Team of Kevin Jacobs, Nabil Kalam & Abbott Lawrence – 3rd  Place.  Coached by Nicole Ayers.

 

Science:  Team of Nabil Kalam, Guillermo Pass & Ian Perez – 3rd  Place.  Coached by Bob Harris.
