Greater Texarkana Young Professionals to host WHAT’S NEXT informational event

Greater Texarkana Young Professionals (GTYP) will be hosting their first annual WHAT’S NEXT event in the conference room of the Professional Office Building at CHRISTUS St. Michael’s hospital at 6pm on Thursday, September 1.

WHAT’S NEXT is an event to empower those in attendance by providing insider knowledge on how to prepare for the world after high school.

Guest speakers will be in attendance to discuss topics pertaining to higher education and workforce
readiness. Guest speakers include Hiliary Huckabee, Recruitment Coordinator at CHRISTUS Health, and Toney Favors, Director of Admissions at Texas A&M University-Texarkana.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.

“This is a free event for our community members interested in hearing from local experts covering topics such as resume tips, interview skills, and college preparation,” said Jennifer Felps, chair of GTYP, “As young professionals in the community, we emphasize the immediate impact of job and university preparedness in securing employment in today’s workforce.”

Greater Texarkana Young Professionals is a committee of Texarkana’s Chamber of Commerce that promotes the retention, education, and growth of diverse young professionals in the Texarkana region through professional and social immersion.
