Little River County Genealogical Society presents “Enhancing Family History through Photographs”

The Little River County Genealogical Society is hosting a talk at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2015, in the Millwood Room of the Barbara Horn Civic Center at Cossatot College in Ashdown.

Melissa Nesbitt, an archival assistant with the Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives, will present, “Enhancing Family History through Photographs.”

The presentation will focus on the identification, documentation and preservation of photographs.

Refreshments will be served from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Parking is available behind the Civic Center.

The Little River County Genealogy Society was formed in 2003. The objective of this organization is to preserve, protect and share Little River County genealogical and historical resources, through research, collection and publication of ancestral, genealogical and historical data and make this data available for public use.

The Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives was founded in 1978 and has been a branch of the Arkansas History Commission for over ten years.
