Doris K. James Memorial Over The Edge Event – Texas A&M Texarkana Campus, 8 am – 3 pm. Participants who raise $1,000 for the Alzheimer’s Alliance will go Over The Edge rappelling 60 feet off the side of Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The event is FREE to watch, so come out bring your lawn chair and watch as your favorite edger goes #OTE4ALZ! Hosted by Over the Edge for Alzheimer’s Alliance.

Brunch, Mimosas, Neo Soul Podcast – Hampton Inn, 4601 Cowhorn Creek Rd Texarkana, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Brunch, mimosas, neo-soul music, and an on-location launch of THE FLOOR Is Yours Podcast. They will be discussing some of the most difficult topics dealing with relationships, and families. The floor will be open for interactions from the audience. It’s important that your voice is heard.
The Conqueror’s Pageant – 3310 Jefferson Blvd Texarkana, Ar, 11:00 am – 1:30 pm. The Conqueror’s Pageant is being launched by Chez Musiq and the Uninhibited Worshippers in an effort to raise awareness during Suicide prevention month. There is NO ENTRY FEE and the children, ages 0-8, will be judged in a casual and semi-formal category, and for the Mr/Miss category, they will have an additional talent portion that they will be judged on. All participants will receive a trophy, and of course, the winners will receive a sash, crown, trophy, and a cash prize. Each child should be encouraged and empowered knowing they can conquer ANYTHING!!!!
