Each year the National Art Education Association selects a limited amount of awards nationally that honor excellence in a variety of genres and media. Out of 60 Gold Medalists chosen in the Nation, nine were from the Pleasant Grove High School Art Department.

These works will travel to Virginia for a three month exhibition and opening. NAEA also selects 70 nation silver medals and nine Pleasant Grove High School Art Department students were selected for this honor. Both sets of awards are showcased in a virtual gallery to share with artists, educators, and students across the country who appreciate and strive for strong student work that create a dynamic voice. Nationally renowned artists juror the student work anonymously and make their selections. The Pleasant Grove High School Art Department is led by Nicole Brisco and assisted by Melissa Manning.
