Robin Lane is open for traffic after being closed for months due to construction of Galleria Oaks from Cowhorn Creek to Richmond Road.

Galleria Oaks is still closed while construction continues on the west end of the street.

According to Texarkana Public Works Director Kyle Dooley, the next step is to work on the concrete tie in to Richmond Road which is estimated to be complete by December 31.

“It also will require closing the outside northbound lane of Richmond Road in the vicinity of the Morris Lane intersection.”

According to Dooley the top priority right now is to get residents back into their driveways and have the street pavement complete. “Hopefully, getting residents back into their driveways and having all the pavement complete will lessen the inconvenience to this neighborhood,” said Dooley.

“We have discussed with the contractor that completing the driveways is our highest priority, much more so than the sidewalks, so we expect that these should be completed before the mid to late January date.”

The other remaining items of work include completing the sidewalks, completing the drainage inlet tops, landscaping, and completing the walking trail from Robin Lane to Cowhorn Creek Rd.
