Silver Star Smokehouse and Saloon opened in Texarkana, Texas on February 03, 2015, a little over three years ago. Since then, they’ve served up steaks and select prime meats in an atmosphere thats equally desireable.

Silver Star is prominently placed off of 1-30 and University Ave., at 5205 W Park Blvd., and is open at 11:00 AM all week for lunch. This accessibility makes the restaurant a great selection for a luxury meal that is easy for everyone to join or a no-brainer option for your next caterer.

They offer daily specials and happy hour Monday through Friday from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Monday dinner special is all you can eat ribs. Slow-smoked and seasoned to perfection, they’re dripping with flavor and tender.

Tuesday they serve up cheeseburgers and fries, only $8.00 for lunch.
On Wednesdays, guests can order 2 for 1 burgers for dinner. This Valentine’s Day, Wednesday February 14, 2018, Silver Star is giving away a free treat to all couples who dine-in.

Silver Star employee favorites are the homemade potatoes au gratin with country fried steak. Some honorable mentions are the new spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and the homemade banana pudding.

The best way to chase down your meal is with a one-of-a-kind drink from the bar. Their infamous Big Dave Bloody Mary is named after owner/ operator David Alvis. The drink is a confident concoction of 2 slow-smoked ribs, a turkey slider, fried pickle, olives , and onion rings.

Marketing Coordinator and Jack-of-all-trades, Donnie Spriggs said, “We’re not just a steakhouse. We’re primarily BBQ, but we have a variety of options.” Spriggs continued, “the best part is that we’re local, small business, not a chain. We take great pride in our great food and service.”

Whether dining in solo or hosting a business banquet, Spriggs can assure everything will be top notch.
Silver Star has 3 different banquet rooms. Their longhorn room will seat 15-20 people and is designed company meetings, featuring a drop-down projection screen for visual needs.

The small banquet room can occupy 30-35 people and also has a television for use where guests can connect laptops or smart devices for larger meetings. Their large banquet room seats 55-60 guests and is deigned for large party events.
Spriggs explains, “the best thing about the large and small banquet areas is a door that can be rolled up and can extend to one large room. When the door is lifted, maximum 115 guests can be entertained.

As if all of these elements didn’t make Silver Star your next go-to for dining out, all of their meats are cut in-house and their BBQ sauce and ranch is made fresh daily.
