Carla Ann Campbell, 53, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carla was born on December 19, 1972, in Abbeville, Louisiana. She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and dedicated much of her career to caring for others as an X-ray technician at Wadley Regional Medical Center. Earlier in her professional life, she worked for JB Hunt in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Carla cherished time spent with family and friends. She especially enjoyed relaxing on the patio surrounded by those she loved and making memorable trips to New Orleans. Her friendships were among the greatest joys of her life, and she was known for her generous spirit, unwavering loyalty, and willingness to help anyone in need. Carla was a strong and determined woman who appreciated order, valued her traditions, and had a unique way of doing things that those closest to her came to know and love.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Darrel Campbell.

She is survived by her mother, Cedina Campbell; her brother, Cory Campbell (Marcie); special nephew, Parish Campbell; her uncle and godfather, Elliott Theall (Kay); godmother, Raydell Campbell; aunt, Ellen Campbell; uncle, Pat Campbell (Yvonne); aunt, Phyllis Theall; father, Ted Campbell; and a host of cousins and friends.

A funeral service celebrating Carla’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family respectfully requests that flowers are not to be purchased and instead asks that memorial donations be made to Hardy Memorial Methodist Church located at 6203 N Kings Hwy, Texarkana, TX 75503.
