Jimmy Darrel Strange, 66, of Texarkana, TX, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Known affectionately by many as “Jimbo,” Jimmy was a man of strength, dedication, and loyalty. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years, carrying with him a spirit of service and honor throughout his life. After his military service, he committed over 43 years to Domtar, where his strong will and unmatched work ethic left a lasting impact.

Jimmy was a lover of life’s simple pleasures—good music, the roar of a motorcycle, a fine cigar, and cheering on his beloved Texas Longhorns. Hook ‘em Horns! His passion for UT football ran deep, and he was never shy about sharing that pride.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Kathy Strange; his sister, Julia Strange; his children Jennifer Baczek (Brian) Brittany Strange, Felicia Marsh (Steffon), Jennifer Kilcommins (Joey ),; his sister-in-law Tonya Strange; his grandchildren Conner, Carson, Oden, Ashley, Brianna, Avianna and Lucent. And several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, James and Virginia Strange, and his brother, Kevin Strange.

A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Chapelwood Funeral Home, 1015 N Kings Hwy, Nash, TX 75569. A visitation will be held the hour before.

He will be remembered always for his unwavering dedication, his love for family, and his fierce loyalty to the things and people he believed in.
