January 2, 1960 – July 15, 2026

Johnny Keith Mayo, age 66, of Fouke, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Johnny was born on January 2, 1960. He was the first baby born in 1960 in that county at Wilson Jones Hospital in Sherman, Texas.

He was a master mechanic and retired from United Parcel Service in Texarkana and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Fouke, Arkansas. He was a true man of God whose kindness, strength, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew him. He was always willing to help and never backed down from a challenge. He counseled many with wisdom and compassion, helping people find hope and strength through life’s most difficult times.

Johnny enjoyed riding his Harley and especially his Indian Pursuit, traveling the country on two wheels. He looked forward to his motorcycle rides around the country and recently in August 2025, fulfilled his dream of riding to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, where he and his wife, Melanie, enjoyed the freedom of the open road and camaraderie of fellow riders.

He loved the countryside of Colorado and Wyoming. He cherished the time he spent with his grandsons, passing down the skills and traditions of hunting. Those moments together became treasured memories that will live on forever in the hearts and minds of his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Mayo of Fouke, Arkansas; three daughters and sons-in-law; April and Ryan Barnett of Springdale, Arkansas; Heather and Phil Green of Texarkana, Arkansas; and Sarah and Alejandro Castellanos of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; three sons, John Mayo of Springdale, Arkansas; Tanner Whitfield of Redwater, Texas; and Joshua Mills of Fouke, Arkansas; his two sisters Virgina Mayo of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Beverly Mayo of Tulsa, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild; and a host of friends and other relatives.

A celebration of Johnny’s life will be on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Lawrence officiating.
