Mary J. Warren, 96, of Queen City, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021.
She was born in December 1924 to Nell and James Dunn in Bodcaw, Arkansas. Mary was a homemaker and volunteer at Atlanta Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Royal Order of the Beauceant 196. She was also a member of the Queen City Methodist Church. Mary was known for the delicious chocolate pies and coconut cakes that she made.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edgar Warren, 2 brothers, Thomas Elmore Dunn and James E. Dunn.
She is survived by her niece, Jane Schachle and husband, Tony and several cousins, including John Gulley, Nancy Lovern, Barbara Dumas, and Diane Blank.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Carolyn Wilkins, Ruth Haynes, and the staff at The Oaks Assisted Living for the excellent care given to Mary.
Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 am at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held at 10:00 am at Chapelwood Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
