Man shot at Fox Creek Sunday evening


Texarkana, Arkansas police are looking for a suspect allegedly involved in a shooting at Fox Creek Apartments Sunday evening.

According to Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department Public Information Officer Kristi Bennett, on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. officers responded to 4303 County Ave, in reference to a shooting.

“When officers arrived they located the victim, 27-year-old Jimmy Jones, in the parking lot of the apartment complex,” said Bennett.

Jones was transported to St. Michael Hospital by LifeNet and later flown to UAMS Little Rock.

According to Bennett the investigation revealed that Jones met two males in the parking lot in which altercation occurred. One of the males, 21-year-old Shelby Jamal Davis of Texarkana, Texas, produced a handgun shooting Jones several times before fleeing.

Davis is currently wanted for felony aggravated assault and Battery 1st.
