Tulsa Police Discover Missing Texarkana Man’s Vehicle

labrAccording to Tulsa News On 6 Tulsa, Okla. police have discovered Christopher Guilbeau’s car during a traffic stop Thursday evening.

Guilbeau had not been seen or heard from since Wednesday afternoon.

According to Tulsa police inside was the driver, Brandon Brown, 22, of Dallas and passengers, Marquell Smith, 20, of Texarkana and a 17-year-old Tulsa.

According to Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department Public Information Officer Kristi Mitchell, “his [Guilbeau] truck has been located in Tulsa, OK.  Texarkana Arkansas Detectives traveled Thursday night to Tulsa to interview the occupants of the vehicle early Friday morning.”

According to Mitchell some news agencies are reporting that the case is being investigated as a homicide.

“This case is still considered a missing person investigation, and all precautionary measures are being taken to preserve any evidence that comes to the attention of the police department. Investigators continue to believe that Mr. Guilbeau (Cates) will be located alive and well,” said Mitchell.

According to Tulsa Police Public Information Officer Leland Ashley, Tulsa Police Department is NOT conducting a homicide investigation in relation to the Guilbeau missing person case.

According to Tulsa County Jail inmate booking information Brown has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, no drivers license, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Smith has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both men have court appearances scheduled March 12, 2015.
